How to play Bangla Bus Rush
You drive a Bangladeshi bus down an endless road. Go as far as you can, pick up passengers, shove rival buses out of the way and keep the tank from running dry. Every run earns coins for upgrades, so each one goes a little further.
Controls
The bus speeds up on its own. You steer, brake, boost and lean on the horn.
| Action | Keyboard | Phone or tablet |
|---|---|---|
| Steer | A D or ← → | Steering pad, bottom right. The further your thumb is from the middle, the harder you turn. |
| Brake | S or ↓ | Brake button, bottom left |
| Boost | W, ↑, Shift or B | Boost button, above the steering pad |
| Horn | Space or H | Horn button, above the brake |
| Pause | Esc or P | Pause button on screen |
A game controller works too: plug it in or pair it and start driving.
Score and coins
Your score grows with distance, plus bonus points for overtakes, close calls with oncoming traffic, passengers, wrecked rivals and every town you reach (1,000 points each). Chain bonuses quickly to build a combo multiplier up to ×5. Any real hit resets it to ×1.
Coins are what you spend in the Garage. You earn them from:
- distance driven, on every run;
- each passenger who boards (+3);
- each rival bus you wreck (+10), and each time you pin one against the rail (+3);
- winning the passenger race on a stretch between two towns (+15). Carry more passengers than any rival by the next town and the stretch is yours.
Your best score on each map goes on the weekly leaderboard on the game page.
Fuel and damage
A run ends in one of two ways: you run out of fuel, or your bus is wrecked.
Fuel
A full stock tank lasts about a minute and a half flat out. Boosting burns fuel three times faster, while braking and coasting barely use any. Petrol stations come up every kilometre or so. When you're low, a message tells you how far the next one is and on which side of the road. Pull in next to it to fill the tank.
Damage
Crashes into traffic, tea stalls, bridge ends and heavy vehicles wear down your bus. Scraping along a rail does slow damage. Trucks and coaches are much heavier than you, so a head-on with one hurts. The Solidity upgrade cuts the damage you take.
Passengers
People wait in small groups at stops by the road. Drive into them to pick them up. Each one pays coins as they board, then rides for a while and hops off, which frees the seat.
Your bus starts with 10 seats. When it's full, waiting passengers wave you past. The Seats upgrade adds 3 seats a level, up to 25. Rival buses grab passengers too, so get to the stop first.
Rival buses
Four named rivals share your road, and on purpose they're all faster than a stock bus:
- Toofan, the racer: light and quick, and slips out of every shove.
- Bijli, the passenger hunter: steals riders from every stop.
- Pagla Ghora, the bully: the heaviest bus on the road, and loves a brake check.
- Rocket, the blocker: sits in your lane and mirrors you so you can't pass.
Keep shoving and ramming a rival until it breaks down, and it counts as your wreck. It pulls over smoking, then comes back later looking for revenge. The horn makes small traffic pull over, but it won't move rivals or trucks.
Maps
| Map | What it's like | How to unlock |
|---|---|---|
| Highway | Dhaka to Sylhet: village stretches, river bridges, tea stalls by the road. | Open from the start |
| Forest | Sreemangal tea hills and jungle: tight bends, steep climbs, little room to overtake. | Reach Ashuganj on the Highway, or 800 coins |
| City | Dhaka at rush hour, with about twice the traffic. | Reach Kamalganj in the Forest, or 1,500 coins |
Upgrades and the Garage
Spend coins in the Garage between runs. Each upgrade has five levels, from 120 coins for the first to 1,300 for the last.
| Upgrade | What it does |
|---|---|
| Engine | Raises top speed from 80 km/h up to 130 km/h. |
| Acceleration | Gets the bus up to speed faster, after a crash or a stop. |
| Boost | Each boost lasts longer and the boost meter refills faster. |
| Solidity | 8% less damage per level. |
| Fuel tank | 15% more range per level. |
| Seats | 3 more passengers per level, up to 25. |
The Garage also sells paint jobs, side stickers and horns, and the Driver screen lets you build your own driver and buy outfits in the Wardrobe. Those are looks only and don't change how the bus drives.
Tips to drive further
- Save boost for overtakes. Boost needs a half-full meter, and the meter fills from bonuses, so a good combo pays for the next boost.
- Don't pass a petrol station when you're under half a tank. The next one may be past a rival or a jam.
- Hit the horn early. It clears cars and rickshaws ahead before you get there.
- Pin rivals, don't chase them. Shoving one into the rail is quicker than racing it, and it pays.
- Upgrade Fuel tank and Seats first. Longer runs and fuller buses earn coins fastest. Engine pays off once you can keep the bus in one piece.
